Collection of Personal Data Statement

Jomusic Management Company Limited values personal privacy and ensures that the collection, use, storage, transfer, and access of personal data under its jurisdiction comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance in Hong Kong. We will ensure that our staff strictly adhere to this Collection of Personal Data Statement and our Privacy Statement. Please read the following to understand our policy on the collection of personal data. We will not provide your personal data to third parties for any purpose without your consent.

 

Purposes of Data Collection

Jomusic Management Company Limited uses the personal data you provide to offer the services, activities, courses, or programs requested by applicants. This includes purposes related to participating in activities, courses, or programs, issuing receipts, collecting feedback, and conducting data analysis. We may also use the personal data provided by applicants to promote relevant activities, courses, services, and donation requests related to Jomusic and related organizations. Applicants can inform or change their preferences regarding receiving promotional and marketing information from Jomusic at any time. It is your responsibility to provide the information listed as "required" on the application form or the information necessary to initiate the relevant process; otherwise, we may not be able to provide the requested services.

 

Transfer of Data

The personal data provided by applicants will be accessed by Jomusic Management Company Limited employees or designated personnel who have a legitimate need to know such information for work purposes. Personal data held by us will not be rented, sold, transferred, or disclosed to third parties or unrelated organizations unless: i. the party is an agent, contractor, or service provider that provides services to Jomusic in the course of its business; ii. the requested service is to be provided by the relevant individual/company you requested; iii. prior consent of the data subject has been obtained; iv. it is necessary for the investigation, prevention, or action concerning illegal activities, suspected fraud, or events involving or threatening the personal safety of any individual; v. compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, legal proceedings, legally binding government requests, administrative systems, or regulatory requirements.

 

Accessing and Amending Personal Data

Under the ordinance, you have the right to inquire whether we hold your personal data, access the personal data we hold about you, and request correction of any inaccurate personal data. Applicants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and correctness of the information provided and have a duty to update their information with Jomusic Management Company Limited; otherwise, we may not be able to provide the requested services. Applicants have the right to request access and correction of the personal data provided and request a copy of the relevant information. To make an inquiry or correction regarding personal data, please complete the Personal Data (Privacy) Commissioner's Office's Data Access Request Form (OPS003) (https://www.pcpd.org.hk/english/publications/files/Dform_e.pdf) or submit a written application by email to info@jomusic.com.hk. Jomusic Management Company Limited will verify the identity of the requester when processing data access or correction requests to ensure that he/she has the legal right to make such requests. A response will be provided within 40 days upon receiving your request. Jomusic Management Company Limited may charge a reasonable fee for this service. Jomusic reserves the right to refuse to comply with a data access request under circumstances specified in Section 20 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, such as when the applicant fails to provide information reasonably required by Jomusic Management Company Limited.
